Global Roots Tours ("we," "us") respects your privacy. We collect only what we need to respond to your inquiries and plan your journey. This explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Information you give us — when you request a journey or contact us, we receive details you provide such as your name, email, phone number, group size, preferred dates, and any notes. To plan a trip we may later collect travel details (passport name, dietary or medical needs you choose to share).

Collected automatically — we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, device, and session recordings of how pages are used) so we can improve it. This is not used to personally identify you. Our site and inquiry form are hosted by Netlify, which processes the submissions you send us.

Chat — if you use our "Roots" chat widget, the messages you type are processed by our automation platform (n8n) and an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies. Please don't share sensitive personal details in chat.

How we use it

• To respond to inquiries and plan, book, and coordinate your trip.
• To arrange logistics with our on-the-ground partners and, where relevant, our nonprofit partner Children of the Jungle.
• To improve our site and offerings.

Sharing

We share your information only as needed to deliver your trip — for example with in-country guides and partners — and with the service providers named above (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Netlify, n8n, and Anthropic). We never sell your information. We share it otherwise only when required by law.

Data security & retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for your trip and our records.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, at any time — just email us.
